Description

BOLA GT stirrer seals NS 45/40 with GL 32 thread for Ø 16 mm stirrer shafts unite a borosilicate glass ground-joint section with a PTFE guide sleeve guided exactly in the glass body and fitted with an integrated special seal. Metered pressure from a PPS GL screw cap acts on the PTFE seal and FPM O-ring to maintain the correct seal against the stirrer shaft in laboratory mixing applications. The special seal is designed for straightforward replacement after wear. Dimensions follow European standard core NS 45/40 for 16 mm shafts, with an overall length of approximately 118 mm and cap thread GL 32. The construction keeps glass and PTFE at the media interface for chemical laboratory use. Available from manufacturer Bohlender as a single piece with a net weight of 0,12 kg, this seal supports stable shaft guidance through a standard ground joint on larger stirrer setups where defined joint size, exchangeable sealing parts and GL closure geometry are required.

This article is part of Lids & seals, in Stoppers, caps & closures.

Questions about BOLA Glass Stirrer Bearings, NS 45/40 GL 32 Ø 16 mm GLASS/PTFE/FKM

What is this article?

BOLA Glass Stirrer Bearings, NS 45/40 GL 32 Ø 16 mm GLASS/PTFE/FKM is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bohlender for laboratory use. It sits in Lids & seals, inside Stoppers, caps & closures, in Labware.

Lids and seals are the covers of dishes, jars and tanks: a snap lid, a sealing film, a gasket. The seal is doing the work. A lid that only rests on the rim does not contain a volatile liquid.

A closure is the part that decides whether a bottle stays shut and whether the contents attack the seal. A ground-glass stopper matches a ground neck. A screw cap needs the right thread and a liner that survives the liquid. Rubber and silicone stoppers push into a mouth. The liner, not the colour of the cap, is the chemical choice. The vessels they close are indexed under ISO laboratory glassware.
