Description
BOLA impeller additional blades are solid PTFE stirring elements intended for matching PTFE stirrer shafts with metal, using a 10 mm shaft diameter. Blade dimensions according to the illustration are 150 mm, 25 mm and 6 mm (A – B – C), providing an impeller geometry suited to intensive mixing tasks. The massive stirring blades are manufactured from polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), and the clamping fixtures are made from a PEEK compound. Multiple blades can be fixed torsion-proof at freely chosen height and rotation direction on the corresponding BOLA stirrer shafts via the clamp fastening. A matching open-end spanner with wrench size 19 is supplied for mounting. These additional blades from manufacturer Bohlender enable modular multi-blade arrangements where chemically resistant PTFE impeller components are needed in laboratory or process work. Delivered as one piece with a net weight of 0,189 kg, they fit impeller-type and related stirrer assemblies that require extra blade capacity or adjustable placement on PTFE shafts with metal.
This article is part of Stirring shafts, propellers & impellers, in Stirring, shaking & mixing.

Questions about BOLA Impeller Blades, Ø 10 mm a Ø 150 mm for stainless steel shafts jacketed wit
What is this article?
BOLA Impeller Blades, Ø 10 mm a Ø 150 mm for stainless steel shafts jacketed wit is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bohlender for laboratory use. It sits in Stirring shafts, propellers & impellers, inside Stirring, shaking & mixing, in Lab instruments.
A shaft, a propeller or an impeller is the wetted end of an overhead stirrer. The diameter and the pitch decide whether the liquid turns over. The material, stainless steel or PTFE, decides what the liquid may be. The chuck size has to match the stirrer.
Stirring keeps a mixture uniform or helps a solid dissolve. A magnetic stirrer spins a bar inside a closed vessel. An overhead stirrer drives a shaft when the liquid is viscous or the volume is large. A vortex mixer agitates a tube. A shaker moves a whole rack or a plate. The shape of the impeller and the speed decide whether the liquid turns over or merely spins. The vessels being stirred are indexed under ISO laboratory glassware.
