Description
BOLA Maxi propeller stirring shaft RS is a long laboratory stirring shaft measuring 1 200 mm in length with a 16 mm shaft diameter and a 200 mm stirring circle. A PTFE-coated stainless-steel shaft carries a propeller made entirely of PTFE with three blades set at 45°, so the medium contacts only PTFE and benefits from universal chemical resistance. Clamping diameter is 10 mm; blade dimensions according to the A–B–C scheme are 200 mm – 26 mm – 6 mm. Net weight is 1,682 kg. Offered by manufacturer Bohlender, this Maxi RS variant is intended for deeper vessels or taller reactor setups that still need a large propeller footprint and reliable PTFE wetted surfaces. Dimensions align with the related C 392 series geometry. Supplied as one piece, the shaft supports axial–radial mixing in synthesis, scale-up and general laboratory agitation where chemical inertness of the stirring element is essential.
This article is part of Stirring shafts, propellers & impellers, in Stirring, shaking & mixing.

Questions about BOLA Maxi-Propeller Stirrer Shafts RCD, L 1200 mm Ø 16 mm Rk 200 mm Reduced Chuc
What is this article?
BOLA Maxi-Propeller Stirrer Shafts RCD, L 1200 mm Ø 16 mm Rk 200 mm Reduced Chuc is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bohlender for laboratory use. It sits in Stirring shafts, propellers & impellers, inside Stirring, shaking & mixing, in Lab instruments.
A shaft, a propeller or an impeller is the wetted end of an overhead stirrer. The diameter and the pitch decide whether the liquid turns over. The material, stainless steel or PTFE, decides what the liquid may be. The chuck size has to match the stirrer.
Stirring keeps a mixture uniform or helps a solid dissolve. A magnetic stirrer spins a bar inside a closed vessel. An overhead stirrer drives a shaft when the liquid is viscous or the volume is large. A vortex mixer agitates a tube. A shaker moves a whole rack or a plate. The shape of the impeller and the speed decide whether the liquid turns over or merely spins. The vessels being stirred are indexed under ISO laboratory glassware.
