Description
BOLA Temperature Probe (PT 100) is a laboratory temperature sensor based on a PT 100 measuring element inside a PTFE-sheathed stainless steel tube (1.4571). The probe measures 8 mm in diameter, with a 6 mm tip and a 12 mm drop-protection ring for controlled insertion. Connection is made through a 1,5 m PFA-coated cable using 4-wire technique, which supports precise resistance readout with minimal cable influence. Typical response times are T50 of 7–12 s and T90 of 14–16 s, allowing effective tracking of temperature dynamics in experimental and process work. Usable length is 600 mm and overall length 660 mm, giving extended immersion depth for larger vessels or apparatus where a chemically resistant PTFE outer layer is advantageous. Offered by manufacturer Bohlender, the construction combines mechanical stability of stainless steel with the chemical protection of PTFE at the wetted surfaces. The unit is supplied as a single piece with a net weight of 0,233 kg and is intended for laboratory temperature measurement tasks that demand a long, polymer-protected PT 100 probe.

Questions about BOLA Temperature Probes (PT 100), Ø 8 mm, L 660 mm PTFE/Stainless Steel, usable
What is this article?
BOLA Temperature Probes (PT 100), Ø 8 mm, L 660 mm PTFE/Stainless Steel, usable is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bohlender for laboratory use. It sits in Temperature probes & sensors, inside Temperature measurement, in Lab instruments.
A temperature probe is the sensor, Pt100, thermocouple or thermistor, that a meter or a logger reads. The probe, not the display, is what is calibrated. The sheath material and the response time matter in a liquid versus a block.
A thermometer reports a temperature. A liquid-in-glass thermometer is a calibrated column. A digital thermometer is a sensor and a display, and the sensor, not the display, is what is calibrated. An infrared thermometer reads a surface and depends on emissivity. A data logger stores the reading over time. Without a stated uncertainty and a calibration point, the number is only an indication. The scale is maintained by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET. Accreditation is BELAC.
