Description
BOLA anchor stirrer shaft, length 800 mm with shaft diameter 8 mm, is a long laboratory stirrer shaft for surface mixing applications that need inert wetted parts. The stainless steel shaft is PTFE-coated and the anchor stirrer blade is made entirely of PTFE, ensuring the medium contacts only PTFE and providing universal chemical resistance. Blade measures according to the manufacturer figure are A 60 mm, B 40 mm, C 25 mm and D 30 mm. Chucking diameter is 6,5 mm for secure clamping in standard overhead stirrer drives. Net weight is 0,266 kg. This extended-length design from manufacturer Bohlender combines steel-core stability with fully PTFE wetted surfaces for gentle agitation of liquids and suspensions in deeper vessels. The solid PTFE anchor blade avoids metal exposure to the process medium. Supplied as 1 piece, the shaft fits existing laboratory stirring setups where PTFE compatibility and chemical resistance are required for research and process work.
This article is part of Stirring shafts, propellers & impellers, in Stirring, shaking & mixing.

Questions about BOLA U-Shaped Stirrer Shafts, L 800 mm, Ø 8 mm, aØ 60x40 mm PTFE-coated STAINLES
What is this article?
BOLA U-Shaped Stirrer Shafts, L 800 mm, Ø 8 mm, aØ 60x40 mm PTFE-coated STAINLES is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bohlender for laboratory use. It sits in Stirring shafts, propellers & impellers, inside Stirring, shaking & mixing, in Lab instruments.
A shaft, a propeller or an impeller is the wetted end of an overhead stirrer. The diameter and the pitch decide whether the liquid turns over. The material, stainless steel or PTFE, decides what the liquid may be. The chuck size has to match the stirrer.
Stirring keeps a mixture uniform or helps a solid dissolve. A magnetic stirrer spins a bar inside a closed vessel. An overhead stirrer drives a shaft when the liquid is viscous or the volume is large. A vortex mixer agitates a tube. A shaker moves a whole rack or a plate. The shape of the impeller and the speed decide whether the liquid turns over or merely spins. The vessels being stirred are indexed under ISO laboratory glassware.
