Description
b.safe disc sensor, Ø 50 mm × H 10 mm with outer sensor diameter 50 mm, enables optional fill-level or empty-level measurement on containers and canisters made from non-conductive materials. The required operating mode is selected directly on the sensor. The unit is fixed externally to the vessel wall at the height of the level to be monitored, using the supplied fastening material such as hook-and-loop tape or adhesive strips, so the container wall remains unpenetrated. Via a separate signal cable from the R 645 series, the sensor is linked to an alarm unit such as a b.safe Mini-Display or b.safe Display; that signal cable is not part of the delivery. Electrical connection is realised as a plug interface. Compact disc geometry and a net weight of 0,074 kg support straightforward external mounting in laboratory and process settings where non-invasive level supervision is preferred. This accessory from manufacturer Bohlender integrates into existing b.safe monitoring arrangements for waste and solvent handling. Supplied as one piece complete with mounting aids for immediate installation on suitable non-conductive vessels.
This article is part of Solvent waste caps, safety funnels & canisters, in Waste disposal.

Questions about b.safe Disc Sensor, Ø 50 mm x H 10 mm Sensor O.D. 50 mm, including mounting key
What is this article?
b.safe Disc Sensor, Ø 50 mm x H 10 mm Sensor O.D. 50 mm, including mounting key is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bohlender for laboratory use. It sits in Solvent waste caps, safety funnels & canisters, inside Waste disposal, in Lab safety equipment.
A solvent waste cap and a safety funnel close a waste can so vapour does not fill the room, while still letting waste be poured in. The thread has to match the can. A filter and a level indicator are common features. An open beaker of waste solvent is not this article.
Laboratory waste is sorted before it is carried away. A solvent waste can has a cap and often a funnel that limits vapour. A sharps container is rigid and closable. An autoclave bag is for material that will be sterilised before it is ordinary waste. The container has to survive the chemical that goes into it. A bag that dissolves is not a container. Classification of the chemicals is on ECHA. Transport of dangerous goods is the UNECE framework. Workplace practice is EU-OSHA.
