Description

The b.safe angle connecting pipe for waste pipe is an approximately 90° L-shaped tube fabricated from conductive PE-EX for laboratory waste systems. One end features a clamp connection for inserting and clamping b.safe Waste Pipes with an outer diameter of 32 mm; the opposite end is a tube with 32 mm outer diameter for continuation of the line. Each clamp connection includes one PE-EX union nut, two conical PTFE-EX sealing rings and one EPDM O-ring. Working length is 460 mm and total length is 500 mm, giving an extended reach for right-angle routing of waste pipes. Net weight is 0,169 kg. Offered by manufacturer Bohlender, this longer angle connector suits modular b.safe waste-pipe assemblies in which PE-EX conductivity is required along the solvent or waste path. The combination of clamp sealing hardware and a matching 32 mm tube end supports secure, repeatable joints without changing the pipe diameter. Supplied as one piece for laboratory installations that need a 90° PE-EX connecting element of 500 mm overall length.

This article is part of Solvent waste caps, safety funnels & canisters, in Waste disposal.

What is this article?

b.safe Elbow Connecting Tube, 90°, 500 mm static dissipative PE-EX, 90°, usable is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bohlender for laboratory use. It sits in Solvent waste caps, safety funnels & canisters, inside Waste disposal, in Lab safety equipment.

A solvent waste cap and a safety funnel close a waste can so vapour does not fill the room, while still letting waste be poured in. The thread has to match the can. A filter and a level indicator are common features. An open beaker of waste solvent is not this article.

Laboratory waste is sorted before it is carried away. A solvent waste can has a cap and often a funnel that limits vapour. A sharps container is rigid and closable. An autoclave bag is for material that will be sterilised before it is ordinary waste. The container has to survive the chemical that goes into it. A bag that dissolves is not a container. Classification of the chemicals is on ECHA. Transport of dangerous goods is the UNECE framework. Workplace practice is EU-OSHA.
