Description

C 1.20 water heater enables operation of the C 1 calorimeter without a separate cooler by tempering mains water of drinking-water quality. It covers the temperature range from 5 to 25 °C and may be connected at a maximum pressure of 6 bar / 0,6 MPa. All necessary hoses and cables for connection to the C 1 are included in the scope of delivery, so the unit can be integrated directly into the existing calorimeter setup.

This article is part of Heating & cooling (other), in Heating, drying & cooling.

Supplied by manufacturer IKA as a complete heater module, the C 1.20 is intended for laboratories that require stable water conditioning for calorimetric measurements. Net weight is 6,000 kg and gross weight 6,650 kg; packaging measures 0,160 m in height, 0,400 m in width and 0,280 m in depth. The heater is a non-sterile laboratory component originating from Germany and is packed as one piece.

By providing controlled tempering of inlet water, the C 1.20 supports continuous C 1 calorimeter runs where an external cooler is unavailable or undesirable. The included connection set simplifies installation and reduces the need for additional tubing or cabling. This water heater is a practical accessory for sites standardising on the IKA C 1 platform and seeking reliable thermal conditioning of process water within the stated pressure and temperature limits.

Questions about C 1.20, Water heater

What is this article?

C 1.20, Water heater is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes IKA for laboratory use. It sits in Heating & cooling (other), inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.

This shelf holds heating and cooling equipment that is not a furnace, a mantle, a bath, an oven or an incubator. The question is still the range, the stability and what the heat actually touches.

Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
