Description
CBC VISC lite S003 is a refrigerated and heating circulator covering a broad temperature range from −25 °C to 125 °C and engineered for use with IKA ROTAVISC viscometers. The insulated bath features optimised water-flow management that enables rapid, precise temperature control for consistent viscosity results. During a measurement, a second 600 ml beaker can be pre-tempered, reducing waiting times between samples. Environmentally conscious operation is supported by the natural refrigerant R290. Thanks to the external pump connection, the instrument can also heat DIN standard vessels for absolute viscosity determination with ELVAS spindles or double-walled beakers, expanding its application scope beyond the internal bath. A easily removable air filter keeps maintenance straightforward and helps maintain peak performance. This single-unit model is fitted with a Swiss plug and comes from manufacturer IKA, making it a flexible temperature-control solution for laboratories focused on accurate, reproducible viscosity work.
This article is part of Circulators, chillers & thermostats, in Heating, drying & cooling.

Questions about CBC VISC lite S003, Refrigerated and heating circulator with Swiss plug
What is this article?
CBC VISC lite S003, Refrigerated and heating circulator with Swiss plug is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes IKA for laboratory use. It sits in Circulators, chillers & thermostats, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.
A circulator or thermostat holds a bath liquid at a set temperature and pumps it through a jacket. A chiller is the same idea aimed below ambient. The temperature range, the cooling power and the pump flow are the three numbers. The fluid has to match the range.
Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
