Description
CSB 09773 Hg-free is a mercury-free chemical oxygen demand (COD) reaction cuvette test for quantitative determination of COD in water and wastewater samples. The measuring range is 100 to 1500 mg/l COD, with a defined sample volume of 2 ml. Each pack supplies 25 ready-to-use 16 mm round cuvettes and applies chromosulfuric acid oxidation as the analytical method. Results correspond to DIN ISO 15705, EPA 410.4, APHA 5220 D and ASTM D1252-06 B, supporting standardised laboratory practice. The cuvettes are intended for use with PhotoLab® and pHotoFlex® photometers. From manufacturer WTW - a Xylem brand, the kit includes Combicheck CC20 compatibility and a batch certificate for traceability. The mercury-free formulation offers laboratories a practical route to COD measurement without mercury-containing reagents, suited to routine organic-load monitoring, process control and environmental analysis.
