Description

Cold trap 1000 ml, 2-piece, lower part DN 60, upper part 2× KF DN 25 is a borosilicate glass 3.3 laboratory cold trap intended for high-vacuum work. The two-piece design provides a total volume of 1000 ml with a condensate capacity of approximately 500 ml. The lower section terminates in a DN 60 flange supplied complete with seal and clamp for secure connection. The upper section features two thick-walled KF DN 25 mm ports together with an additional standard KF DN 16 port that accepts a Pirani measuring probe. This configuration supports direct mounting onto high-vacuum lines, metal flange components and comparable vacuum apparatus. Manufactured by Rettberg, the cold trap combines robust glass construction with practical flange geometry for reliable condensate collection under vacuum. The unit is supplied as a complete 2-piece assembly ready for integration into existing vacuum systems that utilise DN and KF flange standards.

This article is part of Hose connectors, adapters & fittings, in Tubing, hoses & fittings.

Questions about Cooling trap, 1000 ml, two-piece, lower part DN 60, upper part 2x DN 25

What is this article?

Cooling trap, 1000 ml, two-piece, lower part DN 60, upper part 2x DN 25 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Rettberg for laboratory use. It sits in Hose connectors, adapters & fittings, inside Tubing, hoses & fittings, in Labware.

A hose connector or adapter joins two lines, or steps one bore down to another. The barb diameter has to match the tube, and the thread has to match the stopcock or the bottle. Most leaks are a mismatch here, not a hole in the tube.

Tubing is how a liquid or a gas moves between two vessels without being poured. Silicone stays flexible and survives repeated autoclaving. PTFE resists almost every solvent and is stiff. PVC is the ordinary flexible line for water and for mild aqueous work. The fitting, not the tube, is what usually leaks: the barb, the thread and the stopcock have to match the tube bore. Glass and plastic apparatus around these lines is indexed under ISO laboratory ware.
