Counting system KERN CCA 6K-4M is a high-resolution counting system designed to count the smallest parts in large quantities, with up to 999,999 pieces displayable. Combining a KERN EWJ reference precision balance with a KERN IFS quantity platform, this accurate CCA setup can replace a broad range of individual scales in a cost-efficient way. Optional verification supports use in applications subject to legal metrology. The scales are interconnected via an RS-232 Y-cable, which also permits connection of a printer. The EWJ reference balance offers timed internal automatic adjustment every 2 h for high accuracy and location independence; models with [Max] = 600 g include a standard draught shield with weighing chamber dimensions 134×128×80 mm, and a protective working cover is supplied. The balance can also be operated alone. High-precision piece counting is performed on the IFS weighing platform, enabling reliable counting of very small parts in very large batches. The heavy industrial design suits rough working conditions and uses an aluminium single-point load cell (1×3000 e) with IP65 dust and splash protection. An ergonomic evaluation unit from manufacturer Kern features a large keypad and three high-contrast LCD displays for weight, reference weight and total piece count, together with 100 article memory places for reference weight, reference quantity and container tare. Manual reference optimisation improves the average part weight step by step; piece totals can be summed and printed with date and time. A protective cover over the display unit is included.
