Description
Demountable cuvette type 106-QS is a precision spectroscopy cell manufactured from High Performance quartz glass for use across the wavelength range 200 nm to 2500 nm. With a path length of 0,2 mm and a nominal volume of 52 µl, it enables accurate photometric measurements on standard spectrophotometers when a short optical path and modest sample volume are required. Hellma® precision cuvettes from manufacturer Hellma (IDL) are produced entirely in Germany and emphasise tight path-length accuracy and parallelism for continuously reproducible results. Thermal bonding instead of adhesive joints provides strong resistance to temperature and chemicals and helps avoid unintended liquid leakage. Selected High Performance quartz glasses give excellent transmission above 82 % for exact readings. Chamfered edges support safe, comfortable handling and minimise chipping risk. The cells can be cleaned and reused, offering a durable, environmentally considerate alternative to single-use optics. Manufacturing is carried out according to EN ISO 9001 and EN ISO 14001 and meets high optical standards. Quartz quality is designated SUPRASIL®. The format is intended for spectroscopy applications needing reliable short-path performance.

Questions about demountable cell, 106
What is this article?
demountable cell, 106 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Hellma (IDL) for laboratory use. It sits in Cuvettes, in Labware.
A cuvette is an optical cell. The spectrophotometer or photometer sends a beam through a defined path length, usually 10 mm, and the absorbance is read from that path. Glass is for the visible range. Quartz or a UV-grade plastic is required below about 320 nm, because ordinary glass absorbs there. The path length and the wavelength window are the two numbers that choose the cell. The optical methods that use it sit with NIST and the BIPM. Laboratory ware is indexed under ISO laboratory apparatus.
