Description
Detectable spatula SteriPlast®, blue polystyrene (PS), sterile, 150 mm is a disposable sampling instrument for powders, granules and pastes. The long, ergonomically shaped, stable handle and pointed blade allow the user to pierce paper or plastic sacks directly, even with a single-use tool. Made from blue polystyrene containing a special additive, the spatula remains detectable by metal detectors, X-ray inspection and colour scanners, enabling standard foreign-body control systems to reject plastic fragments if required. Each spatula is produced, assembled and packed under cleanroom class 7 conditions, then individually packed and gamma-sterilised. The blue colour supports visual identification on the line. This detectable spatula from manufacturer Bürkle meets applicable EU food-contact and FDA guidelines and fits HACCP, IFS and BRC foreign-body management concepts. It is aimed at food, feed and pharmaceutical sampling where sterility, detectability and clean handling of disposable tools are critical.

Questions about Detectable spatulas, blue, PS, sterile, 150 mm
What is this article?
Detectable spatulas, blue, PS, sterile, 150 mm is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bürkle for laboratory use. It sits in Spatulas & spoons, inside Tools & accessories, in Labware.
A spatula or spoon transfers a powder without pouring the whole bottle. The blade width and the material, steel or plastic or nickel, decide whether the tool contaminates the sample it touches.
The small tools of the bench are what the hand actually holds: a spatula for a powder, forceps for an object that must stay clean, a brush for a narrow neck, a desiccator when a dried sample must not take up water again. None of these reads a measurement. They keep the measurement possible. The apparatus around them is listed under ISO laboratory apparatus.
