Description
DURAN® Vigreux column NS 29/32 with 650 mm length is a complete distillation column fitted with two standard ground joints and a slipped-on glass jacket. Vigreux columns are used in fractional distillation to achieve improved substance separation. The slightly downward-inclined indentations considerably enlarge the contact surface between the gas phase and the glass, thereby expanding the effective cooling area. A tight seal is ensured by the standard ground joint, while the slipped-on glass jacket adds mechanical protection and thermal performance. Manufactured from borosilicate glass 3.3, the column offers the chemical resistance and thermal stability required for demanding laboratory work. Typical applications include fractional distillation, laboratory cooling duties, and condensation of gases and vapours. This complete unit from manufacturer Duran/DWK Life Sciences is supplied ready for integration into distillation assemblies and supports efficient heat and mass transfer during separation processes in research and analytical environments.

Questions about DURAN® Vigreux Column, with 2 standard ground joints, with slide-on glass jacket
What is this article?
DURAN® Vigreux Column, with 2 standard ground joints, with slide-on glass jacket is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes DWK Life Sciences for laboratory use. It sits in Reaction vessels & jacketed vessels, inside Beakers & flasks, in Labware.
A reaction vessel is the flask a synthesis actually runs in, sometimes jacketed so a fluid can heat or cool the wall. The joints, the working volume and the jacket connections are the specification. It is not a storage bottle.
A beaker is an open working vessel: easy to pour, poor as a measure. An Erlenmeyer flask has a flat base and a conical wall so a liquid can be swirled without climbing out. A round-bottom flask is for heating under a condenser, because the heat meets a curved wall and the joint at the neck connects to the rest of the glassware. Borosilicate is the glass that survives the temperature change. These forms are listed under ISO laboratory glassware.
Which category should I open next?
