The weighing plate is welded and finished as steel chequer plate for demanding floor use. Four silicone-coated alloy steel load cells give dust and splash-water protection to IP67. Belonging to the IoT-Line, the scale is network-ready and supports a comfortable operating philosophy aligned with Industry 4.0. The KERN Universal Port (KUP) allows exchange of data and control commands via an interface on the housing or, using the KUP Extension Box, over three interfaces in parallel. A built-in real-time clock logs weighing results with precise time stamps and keeps the correct time even after power failure. The evaluation device (see KERN KFC-TM for details) comes with a bench stand including wall bracket, and a protective working cover is part of the delivery.
