Description
Heating mantle PILZ® -Protect-Line- LP2ER with integrated power controller is a laboratory housing heating mantle for round-bottom flasks of 2,000 ml (Ø 166 mm). It operates at 230 VAC with a rated power of 500 W and a maximum permissible operating temperature of 450 °C. The hand-knitted glass-silk heating element is built to protection class I and sits in a powder-coated, chemically resistant metal housing. A two-part design with a liquid-tight upper section, permanent volume-marked warning labels, and safety switches helps prevent unintended operation. Equipment includes a main on/off switch, a mechanical power controller for continuous 0–100 % output, a heating-zone switch with “heating” status lamp for zone 1 or zones 1+2, a detachable plug connection (0,50 m cable), and a residual-current protective plug with Schuko type E/F cable (1,00 m). Two heating zones support flexible use. Net weight is 3,8 kg; overall dimensions are 280 mm width and 230 mm height. This PILZ® Protect-Line unit from manufacturer Winkler suits routine flask heating in research and production laboratories.

Questions about Heating mantle metal-cased PILZ® -Protect Line- LP2ER 2000ml 230V
What is this article?
Heating mantle metal-cased PILZ® -Protect Line- LP2ER 2000ml 230V is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Winkler for laboratory use. It sits in Heating mantles, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.
A heating mantle cups a round-bottom flask so the heat meets the glass without a bare flame. The flask volume the mantle was knitted for is the specification. A 1 L mantle under a 250 mL flask heats the air, not the liquid.
Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
