Description

Heating mantle with magnetic stirrer, LBX Instruments model HM02, 2000 ml is designed for larger flask volumes that require concurrent heating and magnetic stirring. Electronic temperature setting and a magnetic stirrer operating from 0–1400 min⁻¹ enable continuous simultaneous mixing and heating. The mantle surface can reach up to 450 °C; owing to heat loss, the maximum attainable temperature of the sample liquid is lower. Fast, uniform and safe temperature control supports scale-up work, extractions and preparative chemistry. The package includes a magnetic stir bar, an aluminium stand rod and a holder for thermometer attachment. Electrical supply is 220 V / 50–60 Hz, and net weight is 7,000 kg. This 2000 ml HM02 heating mantle with stirrer from manufacturer Labbox (LBX Instruments) is built for continuous laboratory operation and comes with a 2-year warranty for routine multi-litre heating and stirring applications.

This article is part of Heating mantles, in Heating, drying & cooling.

What is this article?

Heating Mantle with stirring, LBX Instruments, HM02 series, 2000 ml, EU plug is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Labbox for laboratory use. It sits in Heating mantles, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.

A heating mantle cups a round-bottom flask so the heat meets the glass without a bare flame. The flask volume the mantle was knitted for is the specification. A 1 L mantle under a 250 mL flask heats the air, not the liquid.

Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
