Description
Hei-TORQUE Ultimate 400 with EU cable is a high-performance overhead laboratory stirrer for viscosities up to 250.000 mPas or volumes up to 100 litres (H2O). Its two-stage gearbox provides especially powerful stirring up to 400 min⁻¹, ideal for viscous media that need mixing at lower speeds, while speeds up to 2,000 min⁻¹ remain available in the second stage. As part of the Hei-TORQUE Ultimate line from manufacturer Heidolph, the unit offers ramp programming, process monitoring including timer function and numerical torque trend display, plus documentation of application parameters. Dual interfaces (USB and RS232) give flexible connection to a PC, PLC or automation systems such as LabManager. Free Hei-Control software is included for remote control of up to four devices via PC. Latest motor technology ensures quiet operation, and the safety-oriented start/stop touch function minimises unintentional activation. Suitable for fume-hood work or reactor drives, it features a Quick Chuck with safety ring and 10,5 mm diameter for versatile stirring tools. Power consumption is 150 W with a speed range from 10 min⁻¹ to 2,000 min⁻¹.

Questions about Hei-TORQUE Ultimate 400 -- EU-plug
What is this article?
Hei-TORQUE Ultimate 400 -- EU-plug is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Heidolph for laboratory use. It sits in Overhead stirrers, inside Stirring, shaking & mixing, in Lab instruments.
An overhead stirrer drives a shaft from above, for volumes and viscosities a magnetic bar cannot move. Torque and speed range are the ratings. The chuck and the stand are part of using it. A high-speed disperser is a different head.
Stirring keeps a mixture uniform or helps a solid dissolve. A magnetic stirrer spins a bar inside a closed vessel. An overhead stirrer drives a shaft when the liquid is viscous or the volume is large. A vortex mixer agitates a tube. A shaker moves a whole rack or a plate. The shape of the impeller and the speed decide whether the liquid turns over or merely spins. The vessels being stirred are indexed under ISO laboratory glassware.
