Description
HRC 2 lite refrigerated and heating circulator is a compact cold–heat circulating thermostat offering 400 W cooling power and 1000 W heating power for straightforward temperature control tasks from −10 to 100 °C. It serves as a practical peripheral unit for tempering laboratory and bioreactors, open baths, or as a temperature source for measuring instruments. The space-saving design fits even constrained laboratory benches. An easily accessible stainless-steel mesh filter that is simple to clean helps maintain consistently high cooling performance over years of use. With a low fill volume of only one litre, target temperatures are reached particularly quickly, while the large working volume of 2,5 litres supports numerous external applications without frequent top-ups of tempering fluid. Reservoir level is read via a large illuminated sight glass. A powerful pressure and suction pump enables demanding applications as well as external open-bath work in combination with a level controller. Natural refrigerant R290 makes the unit especially sustainable for long-term operation. Devices of the lite series from manufacturer IKA feature RS 232 and USB interfaces for device-to-device communication with a main instrument and for control and monitoring via labworldsoft® and other laboratory software.

Questions about HRC 2 lite, Cooling and heating circulator
What is this article?
HRC 2 lite, Cooling and heating circulator is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes IKA for laboratory use. It sits in Circulators, chillers & thermostats, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.
A circulator or thermostat holds a bath liquid at a set temperature and pumps it through a jacket. A chiller is the same idea aimed below ambient. The temperature range, the cooling power and the pump flow are the three numbers. The fluid has to match the range.
Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
