Description

ICP Multi-Element Standard Solution CR-108 ROTI®Star is a six-element calibration standard for inductively coupled plasma methods, prepared in 1 mol/l HNO3. Concentrations in mg/l are Cd (3), Cr (300), Cu (300), Ni (50), Pb (300) and Zn (50), giving a focused set of analytes frequently required in water and environmental trace analysis. Density is approximately 1 g/cm³ and the boiling point lies above 83 °C; the nitric acid matrix carries UN number 2031. Supplied in a 100 ml pack from manufacturer Carl ROTH, this ROTI®Star solution supports calibration, verification and quality-control steps in ICP-OES and related elemental workflows. Analytical laboratories apply it when multi-element standards for cadmium, chromium, copper, nickel, lead and zinc under a defined acidic matrix are needed for water analysis and routine instrument performance checks.

This article is part of ICP, AAS & ion standards, in Analytical standards & reference materials.

Questions about ICP Multi-Element Standard Sol. CR-108, ROTI®Star 6 elements

What is this article?

ICP Multi-Element Standard Sol. CR-108, ROTI®Star 6 elements is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Carl Roth for laboratory use. It sits in ICP, AAS & ion standards, inside Analytical standards & reference materials, in Lab chemicals.

An ICP, AAS or ion standard is a solution of a stated element or ion at a stated concentration, with an uncertainty. It is the calibration point of a spectrometer or an electrode. The matrix, often dilute acid, has to match the method. A standard past its expiry is not that concentration.

A reference material is the article against which another result is compared. Its value is stated, and the uncertainty of that value is part of the product. An ICP or ion standard is a solution of known concentration. A volumetric standard is for titration. A chromatography standard is the peak you match. The grade names, including pharmacopoeia and ASTM, say which impurities were limited. Identity is checked on PubChem. Names follow IUPAC. Medicinal grades follow the European Pharmacopoeia and USP.
