Description
INC 125 FS digital SP25 is an incubation shaker featuring a patented removable shaking platform with 25 mm stroke. Without the platform the spacious 125-litre chamber accepts up to six grid shelves and functions as a standard incubator. Stable temperature control combined with uniform shaking enhances oxygen transfer, making the instrument suitable for cell cultivation and microbiological work. Manufactured by IKA, the platform can be withdrawn halfway for convenient, tip-safe loading, carries a threaded grid for vessel clamps or STICKMAX adhesive mats, and is recognised automatically so decontamination temperature is set to 100 or 120 °C. Door opening stops the shaker; shaking and incubation operate independently at up to 300 rpm. The corrosion-resistant AISI 304 interior with rounded corners cleans easily; an optional catch tray protects against spills and can serve as a water reservoir to raise humidity. Working range extends from RT +8 °C to 80 °C, supported by effective insulation, a triple-glazed observation door and fan speed adjustable from 0 to 100 %. A large LCD display, switchable interior light, counter, timer and temperature-controlled timer ensure reproducible conditions. Two units may be stacked with the appropriate accessories; the right-hand door stop is reversible on request.
This article is part of Incubators, in Heating, drying & cooling.

Questions about INC 125 FS digital SP25, Incubator with shaking function, 25 mm stroke
What is this article?
INC 125 FS digital SP25, Incubator with shaking function, 25 mm stroke is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes IKA for laboratory use. It sits in Incubators, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.
An incubator holds the mild, even temperature a culture needs, often 25 °C or 37 °C, sometimes with carbon dioxide. It is not a drying oven. Uniformity and, for cells, the gas control are the specification. A flask of cells in a drying oven is a dead flask.
Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
