IoT-Line platform scale IFC 30K-3 is a robust industrial platform balance from the IFC series, engineered for harsh everyday use and multi-interface connectivity. It follows the uniform, comfortable Kern operating concept, keeping design, menu structure, key functions, interface connection and protocol consistent across products. Industry 4.0 readiness comes from the Kern Universal Port (KUP): exchange of data and control commands is possible via one interface on the housing or, using a KUP extension box, via three interfaces in parallel. Optional interfaces comprise RS-232, USB, Ethernet, WLAN and Bluetooth, each configurable independently—for continuous WLAN process documentation, RS-232 printing of stable weights, or analogue module control at target weight. A standard real-time clock timestamps weighing results and retains correct time after power interruption. Optional alibi memory enables paperless archiving and compliant electronic evaluation of legally controlled weighings. Query and remote control from computer or CRM/ERP systems are supported by the Kern Communication Protocol. The platform uses a stainless-steel weighing plate, painted steel substructure and a silicone-coated aluminium load cell with IP65 dust and splash protection. A table stand including wall bracket for the indicator is standard, a protective working cover is supplied, and battery replacement remains simple without disturbing an optional verification seal.
