Description
IoT-Line platform scale KERN IFC 60K-3L is a robust industrial weighing system engineered for demanding production environments. Heavy-duty construction meets a uniform KERN operating philosophy that stays consistent in design, menu structure, key layout, interface connection and communication protocol. For Industry 4.0 integration, the KERN Universal Port (KUP) allows exchange of data and control commands via one interface on the housing or, using the KUP Extension Box, over three interfaces simultaneously. Choose from RS-232, USB, Ethernet, WLAN and Bluetooth; each channel can be configured separately—for continuous process documentation to a PC, printing of stable weighing values or analogue actuation at target weight. A built-in real-time clock records results with precise time stamps and continues correctly after power interruption. Optional alibi memory supports paperless archiving of weighing outcomes, including legally verified data. The scale can be queried and controlled remotely from a computer or CRM/ERP system via the KERN Communication Protocol. From manufacturer Kern, the platform offers a stainless steel weighing plate, painted steel substructure and silicone-coated aluminium load cell protected to IP65 against dust and splash water. Table stand with wall mount for the display and a protective working cover are included; battery access is designed to leave optional verification seals intact.

Questions about IoT-Line Platform Scale KERN IFC 60K-3L
What is this article?
IoT-Line Platform Scale KERN IFC 60K-3L is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes KERN for laboratory use. It sits in Bench, platform & industrial scales, inside Balances & scales, in Lab instruments.
A bench, platform or industrial scale takes kilograms to tonnes, with a platform instead of a small pan. Resolution is coarser. The load cell and the platform size are the specification. It is the scale for a drum or a packed goods check, not for a milligram of standard.
A balance compares a mass with a standard. An analytical balance reads to 0.1 mg or finer and needs a draft shield and a stable bench. A precision balance is coarser and faster. A platform scale takes a heavier load. The reading is only as good as the calibration chain back to the kilogram, which is why test weights and a certificate exist. A moisture analyser is a balance with a heater: it records the loss of mass as water leaves. The unit of mass is kept by the BIPM, compared across Europe by EURAMET, and accredited by BELAC. NIST publishes the same measurement foundations.
Which category should I open next?
The category is Balances & scales. The sub-category is Bench, platform & industrial scales. The catalogue is Lab instruments.
Shelves beside this one are Calibration & test weights, Precision balances, Balance accessories, calibration & certificates, Analytical balances and Moisture analysers.
What should I check before I order?
When this page shows a safety data sheet, use that manufacturer file. Hazard text does not belong in the sales description. For a pack size, a grade or a certificate that is not on the page, send a quote request or contact the team.
How does ordering and shipping work?
Luminix Health distributes this article from the heart of Europe. Articles in stock ship within 2–5 business days. Standard delivery is free from €250 excl. VAT. Cold-chain goods and dangerous goods under ADR are never included in that free delivery. The terms are in the Shipping Policy. The full brand index is on shop by brand. Who we are is on about us.
Which other categories should I open?
The seven catalogues are Labware, Lab chemicals, Lab instruments, Lab consumables, Chromatography equipment, Lab safety equipment and Life Science & Microbiology.
