Its 160 mm by 200 mm weighing pan handles larger loads, while laboratory functions including recipe weighing and percentage determination deliver the accuracy needed for routine analytical work. Robust design, piece-counting capability, vibration-free weighing and the extended capacity also make the balance well suited to industrial settings that require high precision. Optimised for Industry 4.0 applications, the unit features the KERN Universal Port (KUP), allowing external interface adapters such as RS-232, USB, Bluetooth, WLAN or Ethernet to be connected without installation effort for data and control exchange. The KERN Communication Protocol (KCP) supports remote querying and control from external devices or computers. A freely programmable weighing unit enables direct readout in application-specific measures such as thread length in g/m or paper weight in g/m².
