Description
Ceramic chamber furnace SNOL 4/1100 LSC01 is a high-precision electric laboratory furnace with a 4 l useful chamber volume and a maximum temperature of 1100 °C. It is intended for hardening, annealing, normalising and other thermal processing procedures up to 1100 °C. The unit features a solid ceramic chamber, a ceramic bottom plate, a side-opening door with safety switch and a microprocessor temperature controller (Omron E5CC basic model) located in the lower control panel. An optional exhaust chimney can be fitted to reduce release of process gases into the room. Available from manufacturer SnolTherm, the furnace is suitable for scientific laboratories, educational institutions, medical and industrial use. Technical data include 3,7 kW power, 230 V single-phase supply at 50 Hz, IP20 protection, chamber dimensions 120 mm width × 295 mm depth × 110 mm height, external dimensions 440 mm × 615 mm × 500 mm, net weight 55 kg and maximum heat-up time of 110 min without load. Temperature stability is ±2 °C and uniformity ±10 °C at rated temperature after stabilisation without charge.
This article is part of Muffle & tube furnaces, in Heating, drying & cooling.

Questions about Keramik - Kammerofen 4 L 1100°C
What is this article?
Keramik - Kammerofen 4 L 1100°C is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes SnolTherm for laboratory use. It sits in Muffle & tube furnaces, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.
A muffle furnace surrounds a sample with heat for ashing or ignition, often to 1100 °C. A tube furnace heats a sample in a controlled atmosphere inside a tube. The maximum temperature and the chamber size are the specification. A drying oven is not a furnace.
Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
