A flexible glass-silk heating element is combined with an outer glass-silk jacket with aluminium coating, delivering a rated power of 100 W in a single heating zone. Maximum heating-conductor temperature is 450 °C. The hood is specified for 230 V AC operation and includes a 1,5 m mains cable with Schuko plug, on/off switch and residual-current personal protection switch for safer bench use. Net weight is 1,7 kg (gross weight 2,1 kg). This KM-IRB insulating hood from manufacturer ISOHEAT/SAF Wärmetechnik supports stable thermal conditions on the upper flask surface when paired with appropriate lower heating equipment.
