Description

LabHEAT® heated insulating hood KM-IRB is designed for 5,000 ml round-bottom flasks with a diameter of 223 mm, compensating heat losses on the upper half of the flask during distillation, reflux and related heated work. A flexible glass-silk heating body is combined with an outer jacket of glass silk with aluminium coating, giving both conformity to the flask surface and reflective thermal insulation. The unit delivers a nominal power of 300 W in a single heating zone and supports a maximum heating conductor temperature of 450 °C. Electrical connection is provided by a 1,5 m mains lead with Schuko plug; an on/off switch and residual-current personal protection switch are integrated for routine laboratory use at 230 V AC. This KM-IRB hood from manufacturer ISOHEAT/SAF Wärmetechnik helps stabilise temperature where upper-flask heat loss would otherwise slow processes or create gradients. With a net weight of 0,6 kg it remains easy to position on large glassware. The format suits chemistry and process laboratories that need controlled top-side heating as a complement to existing mantle or bath arrangements on 5,000 ml round-bottom flasks.

Questions about LabHEAT® Insulating mantle heated KM-IRB3, 5000 ml, 300 W / 230 V

What is this article?

LabHEAT® Insulating mantle heated KM-IRB3, 5000 ml, 300 W / 230 V is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes ISOHEAT/SAF Wärmetechnik for laboratory use. It sits in Temperature control accessories, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.

Temperature-control accessories are the probes, the lids, the racks and the fluids that complete a bath or a circulator. A lid is what keeps a water bath from evaporating away. The fluid's flash point is part of the choice.

Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
