Description

LabHEAT® heated insulating hood KM-IRB is intended for 6,000 ml round-bottom flasks with a diameter of 236 mm and compensates heat losses on the upper half of the flask. This supports more uniform temperature distribution in distillation, reflux and other heated laboratory processes on large glassware. The flexible glass-silk heating element is enclosed in a glass-silk outer jacket with aluminium coating, combining surface contact with reflective insulation. Rated at 350 W with one heating zone, the hood allows a maximum heating conductor temperature of 450 °C. A 1,5 m mains cable with Schuko plug, on/off switch and residual-current personal protection switch provide straightforward connection and operation at 230 V AC. Offered as a LabHEAT® KM-IRB model from manufacturer ISOHEAT/SAF Wärmetechnik, the hood addresses setups in which lower heating alone leaves the upper flask under-insulated. Net weight is 0,7 kg, so the accessory remains practical to fit and remove. It is well suited to chemistry and process laboratories seeking reduced upper-flask heat loss and steadier thermal conditions on 6,000 ml round-bottom flasks.

Questions about LabHEAT® Insulating mantle heated KM-IRB3, 6000 ml, 350 W / 230 V

What is this article?

LabHEAT® Insulating mantle heated KM-IRB3, 6000 ml, 350 W / 230 V is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes ISOHEAT/SAF Wärmetechnik for laboratory use. It sits in Temperature control accessories, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.

Temperature-control accessories are the probes, the lids, the racks and the fluids that complete a bath or a circulator. A lid is what keeps a water bath from evaporating away. The fluid's flash point is part of the choice.

Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
