Air passes through a HEPA H-14 filter manufactured to EN 1822 at a constant average inflow of 0,40 m/s, then moves vertically in a laminar stream across the work area. The filter system achieves a minimum efficiency of 99,995 % for 0,3 µm particles, with full extraction of the airflow to the exterior, protecting samples from external and cross-contamination. The unit features a 127 × 34 mm LCD display, filter-change warning, programmable timer, microprocessor airflow control, switchable socket, LED lighting at 900 lux and a 15 W UV germicidal lamp. Interior dimensions are 710 × 556 × 610 mm; exterior dimensions are 800 × 600 × 1137 mm. Total power consumption is 226 W at 110–220 V / 50–60 Hz; sound level is about 50 dB.
