Description
The LAUDA Puridest PD 12 R is a fully automatic mono water still with integrated storage tank, suitable for wall mounting and bench installation. It delivers mono-distillate at 12 L/h with a conductivity of 2,3 µS/cm at 25 °C. The stainless steel reservoir holds 24 L—twice the hourly output—and includes a distillate tap with continuous and tip positions plus an easily replaceable condenser coil. Heated cooling water is reused for distillation to save energy, while automatic shut-off avoids unnecessary water use. An electronic fouling monitor stops distillation and gives an optical cleaning prompt; the boiler remains readily accessible for maintenance. Thermostatic low-water protection, a CO2 degassing opening on the condenser, and automatic tank refill via electronic level sensing support reliable unattended operation. Heating elements, boiler, tank and condenser are stainless steel; the double-walled housing is powder-coated galvanised steel sheet. Separate pretreated-water feed for the boiler with 1/2'' hose connection is integrated. This model from manufacturer Lauda measures 780 × 410 × 670 mm, weighs 40 kg and operates on 400 V; 3/N/PE; 50/60 Hz at up to 9 kW, with cooling-water consumption of 3,3 L/min.
This article is part of Circulators, chillers & thermostats, in Heating, drying & cooling.

Questions about LAUDA Puridest PD 12 R Water still 400 V; 3/N/PE; 50/60 Hz
What is this article?
LAUDA Puridest PD 12 R Water still 400 V; 3/N/PE; 50/60 Hz is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Lauda for laboratory use. It sits in Circulators, chillers & thermostats, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.
A circulator or thermostat holds a bath liquid at a set temperature and pumps it through a jacket. A chiller is the same idea aimed below ambient. The temperature range, the cooling power and the pump flow are the three numbers. The fluid has to match the range.
Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
