Macro cuvette type 100-OS is a precision spectroscopy cell made from optical special glass for the wavelength range 320 nm to 2500 nm. With a path length of 10 mm and a nominal fill volume of 0,0035 l (3,500 µl), fitted with a PTFE lid, it suits absorbance and transmission measurements on standard laboratory spectrophotometers. The selected optical special glass provides excellent transmission above 80 % for accurate optical results. Hellma precision cuvettes are produced entirely in Germany and are thermally bonded rather than glued, which yields strong resistance to temperature and chemicals and helps prevent leakage of sample liquids. Bevelled edges support safe, comfortable handling and reduce the chance of edge chipping. Tight control of path-length accuracy and parallelism ensures continuously reproducible measurement data. The cells can be cleaned and reused, remaining in service over extended periods as a practical laboratory option. Manufacture follows EN ISO 9001 and EN ISO 14001 and meets high optical standards; a declaration of conformity is available from the manufacturer, with additional certificates obtainable on request.
