Description

Macro cuvette type 6030-OG is a precision spectroscopy cell made from optical glass for the wavelength range 360 nm to 2500 nm. It offers a path length of 50 mm and a nominal fill volume of 17 500 µl (0,0175 l), suited to measurements that need a longer optical path and a larger sample volume. A PTFE fold lid closes the chamber during analysis. Hellma macro cuvettes from manufacturer Hellma (IDL) are manufactured entirely in Germany with high precision in path length and window parallelism, supporting continuously reproducible results. The cells are thermally bonded rather than glued, which increases resistance to temperature and chemicals and helps prevent unintended leakage. Selected optical glass provides transmission greater than 80 % for exact readings. Bevelled edges improve safe, comfortable handling and reduce the risk of chipping. The cuvettes can be cleaned and reused over long periods as a durable laboratory option. Production follows EN ISO 9001 and EN ISO 14001 and meets high optical standards. Supplied as one piece for spectroscopy applications.

Questions about macro cell, 6030

What is this article?

macro cell, 6030 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Hellma (IDL) for laboratory use. It sits in Cuvettes, in Labware.

A cuvette is an optical cell. The spectrophotometer or photometer sends a beam through a defined path length, usually 10 mm, and the absorbance is read from that path. Glass is for the visible range. Quartz or a UV-grade plastic is required below about 320 nm, because ordinary glass absorbs there. The path length and the wavelength window are the two numbers that choose the cell. The optical methods that use it sit with NIST and the BIPM. Laboratory ware is indexed under ISO laboratory apparatus.
