Description

Microscope slides with reaction fields provide ten circular reaction zones of 7 mm diameter together with a red colour mask and a one-sided frosted edge of 20 mm for clear sample identification and labelling. The slides are packed in boxes of 50 pieces, with a minimum order quantity of 200 pieces. They are intended for applications conforming to EU Regulation 2017/746 on in-vitro diagnostic medical devices (IVDR) and are supplied with CE marking, a recommended expiry date and a batch number to ensure comprehensive information and full traceability. Because of the variety of available masks and the limited shelf life of the product, these slides are manufactured to order by Marienfeld, so that laboratories always receive freshly produced glass. For technical reasons the delivered quantity may differ slightly from the ordered amount; any under- or over-delivery must be accepted. The defined reaction fields support organised multi-sample work on a single slide while the frosted edge simplifies handling and documentation in routine diagnostic and research microscopy.

This article is part of Microscope slides & cover glasses, in Microscopy & histology.

Questions about Microscope slides with reaction wells

What is this article?

Microscope slides with reaction wells is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Marienfeld for laboratory use. It sits in Microscope slides & cover glasses, inside Microscopy & histology, in Lab instruments.

A slide is the glass a specimen sits on. A cover glass is the thin sheet over it, of a thickness the objective was designed for. A cover glass of the wrong thickness softens the image. Charged and plain slides hold sections differently.

A light microscope forms an image with glass lenses and transmitted or reflected light. A stereo microscope is the lower-magnification instrument for dissecting and for looking at a surface. Fluorescence needs a light source and filters matched to the dye. Histology is the preparation that makes a tissue readable: fixation, a cassette, a section, a stain. The objective's magnification and numerical aperture decide the resolution. The slide and the cover glass decide whether the section sits in the focal plane. Stains and dyes as substances are identified on PubChem. Papers on the methods are on PubMed.
