Description

Microtiter plate photometer LAMR-100 is a filter-based absorbance reader for the 340–750 nm range, intended for scientific laboratories and clinical work, especially ELISA on 96-well plates. It supports routine diagnostic and research measurements with an eight-position filter wheel supplied as standard with 405 nm, 450 nm, 492 nm and 630 nm filters; further filters are optional. The optical path uses a 6 V / 10 W halogen lamp and a high-sensitivity photodiode detector (≥ 0,01 A). Wavelength accuracy is ≤ ±2 nm with 0,001 Abs resolution and a measuring range of 0,000–4,000 Abs. Linearity reaches R² ≥ 0,995 from 0 to 3,0 Abs. Repeatability is CV ≤ 0,3 % in [0; 3 Abs) and CV ≤ 1 % in [3; 4 Abs); photometric drift is ≤ ±0,005 Abs. Photometric accuracy is ≤ 2,0 % in [0; 3 Abs). From manufacturer Landgraf HLL, fast mode reads a full 96-well plate in about 6 s, enabling reliable qualitative and quantitative ELISA as well as other enzymatic and colorimetric assays.

Questions about Mikrotiter Plattenphotometer LAMR-100

What is this article?

Mikrotiter Plattenphotometer LAMR-100 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Landgraf HLL for laboratory use. It sits in Photometers & spectrophotometers, inside Spectroscopy & photometry, in Lab instruments.

A photometer reads absorbance at one or a few wavelengths. A spectrophotometer scans or selects many. Both send light through a cuvette or a well. The wavelength range, UV or visible, and the bandwidth decide what can be measured. A visible-only instrument cannot read a nucleic acid at 260 nm.

A photometer or spectrophotometer sends light through a sample and reads how much was absorbed. In the range where the Beer–Lambert relation holds, absorbance tracks concentration. A refractometer reads how a liquid bends light, which tracks dissolved solids. A polarimeter reads the rotation of polarised light, the classical measurement for sugars. The lamp, the wavelength and the cuvette path length are the three things that have to be right before the number means anything. The optical quantities trace to NIST and the BIPM.
