Description
Mineral-insulated heating cable MIL-HC-SS, 6,5 m, 1300 W / 230 V is a high-temperature heating element intended for laboratory and industrial process applications such as vessel heating, heating tapes and bandages. The cable combines mineral insulation with a stainless-steel outer sheath of grade 1.4541, providing a waterproof and protectively earthed construction. Diameter ranges from 3,2 mm to 6,5 mm and the minimum bending radius is greater than five times the outer diameter, allowing installation on curved surfaces and containers. Maximum heating-conductor temperature is 800 °C. Laser-welded transitions connect the heated section to two 0,5 m cold leads, each finished with a 150 mm flexible connection strand and an M20 × 1,5 cable gland. Nominal operating voltage is 230 V AC. The complete assembly is supplied as a single piece from manufacturer ISOHEAT/SAF Wärmetechnik. Alternative lengths and power ratings are available on request, enabling precise matching to specific thermal-control requirements in research and production environments.

What is this article?
Mineral insulated heating cable MIL-HC-SS, 6,5 m, 1300 W / 230 V is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes ISOHEAT/SAF Wärmetechnik for laboratory use. It sits in Heating tapes, cables & plates, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.
A heating tape or cable wraps a tube, a valve or a vessel that has no mantle. Power per length and the maximum temperature are the specification. A tape overlapped on itself overheats. It needs a controller. Plugged straight in, it does not hold a set point.
Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
