Description

Minisart® NML standard syringe filters with surfactant-free cellulose acetate (SFCA) membranes support clarification and sterilisation of liquids by filtration. The method removes microorganisms and particles reliably, without effects on the ingredients due to adsorption or decomposition. For optimal results, Minisart® filters made of MBS housing from manufacturer Sartorius offer membranes with pore sizes ranging from 0,1 µm to 5 µm for high flow rates and low adsorption characteristics. An effective filtration area of 6,2 cm² enables fast filtration and is among the largest in premium syringe filters. Colour-coded MBS housings simplify pore-size identification. The acrylic resin MBS (methacrylate butadiene styrene) has limited compatibility with alcohols, is free of phthalates and passes the plastics class VI test. It is suitable for gluing and assembly to tubing. Supplied as 50 pieces with a net weight of 0,411 kg, these filters are well suited to aqueous liquid filtration and laboratory workflows that need dependable SFCA membrane performance.

This article is part of Syringe filters, in Filtration.

Questions about MinisartNML 0.45m, 28mm FM eo-ster 50pc

What is this article?

MinisartNML 0.45m, 28mm FM eo-ster 50pc is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Sartorius for laboratory use. It sits in Syringe filters, inside Filtration, in Lab consumables.

A syringe filter is a membrane in a plastic housing on a Luer fitting. Pore size, membrane polymer and diameter are the three choices. 0.2 µm is the sterilising and the HPLC-particle cut. 0.45 µm is the coarser clarification. Aqueous and solvent-resistant membranes are different polymers.

Filtration holds back what is larger than the pores and lets the rest through. Paper is the ordinary laboratory filter. A membrane has a stated pore size and a polymer that must survive the solvent. A syringe filter is that membrane in a housing on a syringe. Glass fibre takes a higher dirt load. Ultrafiltration holds back macromolecules and passes salts. The pore size, the chemical compatibility and the volume are the three choices. Laboratory apparatus around filtration is indexed under ISO laboratory apparatus.
