They were developed for the quantitative detection of microorganisms in pharmaceutical and cosmetic products, beverages, water and other sample types. The membrane is cellulose nitrate / mixed cellulose ester (CN, MCE) with a pore size of 0,45 µm and a diameter of 47 mm, supplied in grey|white, while the funnel provides 250 ml capacity for larger sample volumes. A gridded membrane surface aids colony counting after filtration and incubation. These Combisart®-compatible units support routine membrane-filtration methods in microbiology laboratories. Available in packs of 48 pieces from manufacturer Sartorius, they suit higher-throughput testing schedules where a uniform 47 mm filtration format is required.
