Description
Nalgene™ 890 tubing is semi-rigid laboratory tubing for challenging fluid-handling tasks that require chemical resistance at room temperature and strong high-temperature performance. Featuring an 11,1 mm inner diameter, 12,7 mm outer diameter and 0,8 mm wall thickness, the 15,24 m roll provides a larger bore for higher volumetric transfer while remaining manageable as a semi-rigid line. The tubing is autoclavable and complies with FDA 21 CFR 177.1550 for food contact. Hardness is Durometer 58(D), with a bend radius of 8×OD for layout design. Maximum pressure ratings are 60 psig at 23 °C and 30 psig at 85 °C; the maximum operating temperature is 205 °C. Offered as Thermo Scientific Nalgene™ 890 tubing, it is suited to laboratory, process and analytical setups needing defined dimensions, thermal headroom and broad chemical compatibility in a semi-rigid format.
This article is part of PVC, PTFE & other tubing, in Tubing, hoses & fittings.

Questions about Nalgene™ 890 Tubing
What is this article?
Nalgene™ 890 Tubing is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Thermo Scientific - Laboratory Plastics for laboratory use. It sits in PVC, PTFE & other tubing, inside Tubing, hoses & fittings, in Labware.
PVC is the flexible everyday tube for water and mild aqueous liquids. PTFE is the stiff, almost inert tube for solvents. Other polymers sit between them. The bore, the wall and the chemical resistance are the specification, and the tube is cut to length.
Tubing is how a liquid or a gas moves between two vessels without being poured. Silicone stays flexible and survives repeated autoclaving. PTFE resists almost every solvent and is stiff. PVC is the ordinary flexible line for water and for mild aqueous work. The fitting, not the tube, is what usually leaks: the barb, the thread and the stopcock have to match the tube bore. Glass and plastic apparatus around these lines is indexed under ISO laboratory ware.
Which category should I open next?
The category is Tubing, hoses & fittings. The sub-category is PVC, PTFE & other tubing. The catalogue is Labware.
Shelves beside this one are Hose connectors, adapters & fittings, Stopcocks & valves, Silicone tubing and Tubing accessories.
What should I check before I order?
When this page shows a safety data sheet, use that manufacturer file. Hazard text does not belong in the sales description. For a pack size, a grade or a certificate that is not on the page, send a quote request or contact the team.
