Description

Nalgene™ square HDPE bottles with closure are space-saving wide-mouth laboratory bottles for transporting, storing and sampling liquids as well as dry substances. Made from high-density polyethylene (HDPE) in a natural translucent finish, they provide excellent chemical resistance to most acids, bases and alcohols. The rectangular body improves shelf utilisation, while the wide mouth with a 28 mm inner neck diameter supports convenient filling and access. Each bottle is supplied with a matching 38 mm polypropylene screw closure without liner, also natural translucent. Nominal capacity is 250 ml (8 oz), with a height of about 4,6 in; the bottles are not graduated and are not intended for dispensing through the closure. They comply with USP Class VI and FDA 21 CFR requirements and carry an ACT label. These bottles from manufacturer Thermo Scientific - Laboratory Plastics are packed 12 per pack and 72 per case, offering a practical format for routine chemical handling and sample work in the laboratory.

Questions about Nalgene™ Rectangular HDPE Bottles with Closure

What is this article?

Nalgene™ Rectangular HDPE Bottles with Closure is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Thermo Scientific - Laboratory Plastics for laboratory use. It sits in Plastic bottles (narrow & wide mouth), inside Bottles & containers, in Labware.

A plastic bottle is polyethylene, polypropylene or a fluoropolymer, narrow-mouth for pouring or wide-mouth for powders. It is the choice when the bottle must not shatter, and it is the wrong choice for solvents that swell the plastic.

A laboratory bottle is a closed container with a stated volume and a neck that takes a cap, a stopper or a dispenser. Borosilicate glass is the choice when the liquid is a solvent, or when the bottle will be heated or autoclaved. Polyethylene and polypropylene are the choice when the bottle must not shatter, or when hydrofluoric acid would attack glass. A narrow mouth pours. A wide mouth is for powders and for reaching the bottom. Laboratory ware of this kind is indexed under ISO laboratory glassware. Traceable volume sits with the BIPM and NIST Physical Measurement.
