Description

Orion™ calcium combination electrode with waterproof BNC connector is an ion-selective combination electrode for use with laboratory ISE meters. It incorporates a Sure-Flow™ junction that provides free flow to support stable, drift-free potentials during ion-selective measurements. When conventional electrode junctions clog, the Sure-Flow junction can be opened and flushed clean simply by pressing the cap, helping restore free electrolyte flow and measurement reliability without complex service steps. The waterproof BNC connection supports secure instrument coupling in typical bench setups for ion analysis. Supplied as a single unit, this combination electrode format is intended for ISE measuring instruments that accept BNC-linked combination sensors. From manufacturer Thermo Scientific, the Orion™ design addresses routine laboratory needs for dependable combination ISE performance where junction maintenance and potential stability matter. Laboratories apply such electrodes in analytical and quality-control sequences that require combination sensing with straightforward junction clearing, supporting consistent operation across calibration and sample measurement on compatible ISE systems.

Questions about Orion™ Calcium Electrodes

What is this article?

Orion™ Calcium Electrodes is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Thermo Scientific - Equipment LED for laboratory use. It sits in pH electrodes & sensors, inside pH & electrochemistry, in Lab instruments.

A pH electrode is a glass membrane and a reference. It is a consumable: the glass ages, the junction clogs, and the reading drifts. A refillable electrode and a gel electrode differ in how they are maintained. The connector has to match the meter. The electrode, not the meter, is usually what is wrong.

A pH meter is a voltmeter on a glass electrode. The voltage tracks hydrogen-ion activity, and the electrode is converted to pH only after it is adjusted with buffers of known value. Conductivity measures how well a solution carries a current, which for dilute salts tracks concentration. Dissolved oxygen and titration are further electrodes on the same idea: a sensor, a standard, and a reading that is only as fresh as the calibration. Buffer values and chemical identity sit on PubChem. Accreditation of the calibration laboratory is the field of BELAC and EURAMET.
