Description

Portable multiparameter meter HI991300 measures pH, electrical conductivity (EC), total dissolved solids (TDS) and temperature in one waterproof handheld unit. The multilevel display presents three readings at once for a clear overview during laboratory or field work. It is supplied with the reinforced HI12883 probe, a 1 m cable and Quick-DIN connector for a secure, watertight connection. Conductivity covers the low range 0 to 3999 µS/cm at 1 µS/cm resolution, while TDS spans 0 to 2000 mg/L (ppm). pH range is −2,00 to 16,00 with 0,01 resolution and ±0,02 accuracy; automatic one- or two-point calibration uses standard buffers. Temperature is measured from −5,0 to 150 °C with automatic compensation for pH and selectable β for EC. The IP67-rated housing from manufacturer Hanna Instruments protects against water and dust. Two-button operation, on-screen electrode condition indication and about 600 hours of continuous use from three 1,5 V AAA batteries support routine measurements. The kit includes starter calibration solutions, cleaning solution, batteries, manual and quality certificate in a sturdy carrying case.

Questions about Portable Waterproof pH/EC/TDS Low Range Meter (0 to 3999 µS/cm, 0 to 2000 ppm)

What is this article?

Portable Waterproof pH/EC/TDS Low Range Meter (0 to 3999 µS/cm, 0 to 2000 ppm) is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Hanna Instruments for laboratory use. It sits in Conductivity meters & cells, inside pH & electrochemistry, in Lab instruments.

A conductivity meter and its cell measure how well a solution carries current. The cell constant is the geometry that converts conductance to conductivity, and it is calibrated with a standard. Temperature compensation matters because conductivity rises with temperature.

A pH meter is a voltmeter on a glass electrode. The voltage tracks hydrogen-ion activity, and the electrode is converted to pH only after it is adjusted with buffers of known value. Conductivity measures how well a solution carries a current, which for dilute salts tracks concentration. Dissolved oxygen and titration are further electrodes on the same idea: a sensor, a standard, and a reading that is only as fresh as the calibration. Buffer values and chemical identity sit on PubChem. Accreditation of the calibration laboratory is the field of BELAC and EURAMET.
