Description
Precision balance AX2202 is an Adventurer™ Precision laboratory balance with a maximum capacity of 2,2 kg, readability of 0,00001 kg and repeatability of 0,01 g. The stainless-steel weighing platform measures 175 × 195 mm and operates as a full-resolution single-range system. A colour graphical 109 mm VGA touchscreen with adjustable brightness ensures intuitive control, complemented by RS232, USB-Host and USB-Device interfaces for GLP/GMP data output with real-time clock and direct saving to USB stick. Applications include multi-unit weighing (17 units plus one custom), parts counting, percent weighing, checkweighing, dynamic weighing, accumulation/statistics, formulation, density determination and display hold. The robust metal housing with ABS top, three-door glass draft shield, illuminated level indicator, underhook and security slot support reliable daily use. Selectable environmental filters, automatic taring, configurable span adjustment, software lockout, nine operating languages and user-specific project and user IDs make the instrument from manufacturer Ohaus suitable for a wide range of laboratory weighing requirements.

Questions about Precision Balance AX2202
What is this article?
Precision Balance AX2202 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Ohaus for laboratory use. It sits in Precision balances, inside Balances & scales, in Lab instruments.
A precision balance reads more coarsely than an analytical balance, often 1 mg or 10 mg, and it takes a heavier pan load. It is the balance for preparing bulk reagents. Draft, level and a warm-up still move the last digit.
A balance compares a mass with a standard. An analytical balance reads to 0.1 mg or finer and needs a draft shield and a stable bench. A precision balance is coarser and faster. A platform scale takes a heavier load. The reading is only as good as the calibration chain back to the kilogram, which is why test weights and a certificate exist. A moisture analyser is a balance with a heater: it records the loss of mass as water leaves. The unit of mass is kept by the BIPM, compared across Europe by EURAMET, and accredited by BELAC. NIST publishes the same measurement foundations.
