Description

Q-PAGE(TM) 10 %. TGN Midi is a ready-to-use precast polyacrylamide gel for PAGE applications in Midi format. The gel contains 10 % polyacrylamide, measures 10 x 10 cm, and is configured with 12 wells for sample application. Ready-to-use construction removes the need to pour and polymerise gels before electrophoresis. Density is approximately 1 g/cm³, with a boiling point around 100 °C. Compared with Mini cassettes, the 10 x 10 cm Midi geometry offers a larger separation area while keeping a straightforward 12-well layout. These Q-PAGE(TM) TGN Midi gels from manufacturer SMOBIO are intended for laboratories that run Midi electrophoresis systems compatible with the stated dimensions. The 10 %. TGN chemistry and defined well count support reproducible protein or related PAGE separations when a Midi precast gel is preferred over hand-cast plates.

This article is part of Gels, combs & casting accessories, in Electrophoresis.

Questions about Q-PAGE TGN Midi, 2 unit(s), 10 %, ready-to-use, 12 wells, box

What is this article?

Q-PAGE TGN Midi, 2 unit(s), 10 %, ready-to-use, 12 wells, box is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes SMOBIO for laboratory use. It sits in Gels, combs & casting accessories, inside Electrophoresis, in Microbiology lab supplies.

A gel, a comb and a casting tray make the slab a sample runs through. Agarose percentage, or the acrylamide mix, sets the sieve. The comb thickness and the number of teeth set the wells. Precast and hand-cast gels are different products. A comb for a different tray does not seal.

Electrophoresis pulls charged molecules through a gel. Smaller ones move farther. Agarose gels separate nucleic acids. Polyacrylamide gels separate proteins. A comb forms the wells. A power supply holds the voltage or the current. The gel percentage is the sieve. A marker lane is how the bands are named. The methods are in the PubMed literature. Sequences of the nucleic acids are on NCBI Nucleotide.
