R 1405 is a propeller stirrer with a rotor diameter of 45 mm, engineered for high-speed mixing applications in the laboratory. It is designed for use with EUROSTAR 20 high speed digital and EUROSTAR 20 high speed control overhead stirrers. The same propeller can serve as an alternative mixing head to the R 1402 dissolver when mounted on the R 50 high-speed stirring shaft of the T 50 digital disperser. Ideal for low- to medium-viscosity media, it generates an axial flow pattern at high rotational speed while keeping temperature rise to a minimum. The working volume range is 0,25–30 l. Note that the corresponding precision or high-speed shaft (R 6000 or R 50) is not included and must be selected separately according to the drive unit. Compact and lightweight at approximately 0,026 kg net, the R 1405 propeller from manufacturer IKA is a practical accessory for process development, formulation and scale-up work requiring efficient axial circulation.
