Description
The LBX INC-R incubator with cooling function, 70 L, is ideal for BOD determinations and other laboratory procedures that require low temperatures over extended periods. Integrated cooling enables setpoints below ambient room temperature. The temperature measuring range is 0–65 °C with a resolution of 0,1 °C. Temperature fluctuation is ±0,5 °C at high temperatures and ±1 °C at low temperatures, while temperature homogeneity and stability are ±1,5 °C.
This article is part of Incubators, in Heating, drying & cooling.
The exterior is metal with an epoxy resin coating and the interior chamber is stainless steel. An air circulation system homogenises temperature throughout the working space. Insulation is polyurethane, and cooling is fluoride-free with refrigerant R134a. Dual LCD displays show actual and set temperatures, and a timer covers 0–99 h 59 min. An inner glass door keeps samples clearly visible. An internal universal socket with cover accepts EU and UK plugs. A side opening allows insertion of a temperature sensor or cable. Cleaning is straightforward. The unit is supplied with two height-adjustable wire shelves and can accept additional shelves. It operates at 220 V / 50 Hz and carries a 2-year warranty from manufacturer Labbox.

Questions about Refrigerated incubator, LBX INC-R, 70 L, EU plug
What is this article?
Refrigerated incubator, LBX INC-R, 70 L, EU plug is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Labbox for laboratory use. It sits in Incubators, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.
An incubator holds the mild, even temperature a culture needs, often 25 °C or 37 °C, sometimes with carbon dioxide. It is not a drying oven. Uniformity and, for cells, the gas control are the specification. A flask of cells in a drying oven is a dead flask.
Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
