ROTI®CELL Hanks' BSS is a sterile balanced salt solution prepared without calcium and magnesium and without phenol red for cell culture applications. Offered ready-to-use in CELLPURE® quality, this Hanks' balanced salt solution supports washing, rinsing, transport and short-term maintenance of cells under defined ionic conditions. Absence of Ca and Mg ions makes it suitable where divalent cations could interfere with detachment, enzyme steps or sensitive assays. Phenol red is omitted to limit indicator-related effects in optical or colour-sensitive readouts. The solution is supplied as 500 ml in plastic and shows a density of approximately 1 g/cm³ with a boiling point around 100 °C. It fits routine media and solutions work in cell culture laboratories handling adherent or suspension cultures.
