Description

S 25 EC - T - C - 18 G - ST is an autoclaveable dispersing tool with Ø 18 mm stator, designed for general high-speed mixing, emulsifying, particle-size reduction and vigorous dissolution of miscible and immiscible solids and liquids in a liquid medium. The integrated temperature sensor enables continuous temperature measurement during use, making the tool especially suitable for biochemistry and pharmaceutical applications such as emulsifying heat-sensitive active-ingredient intermediates. Saw-tooth geometry cuts fibrous materials for faster homogenisation. Compatible exclusively with the T 25 easy clean digital and control dispersers from manufacturer IKA; the temperature-sensor function is activated only with the control model. Operating time is logged by the drive unit and a display prompt indicates when maintenance is due. The easy-clean design allows shaft and rotor to be withdrawn simply by turning and lowering the clamp, so the shaft tube can be flushed completely from the inside. Recommended for laboratory dispersing work requiring both high shear and temperature monitoring. Supplied as a single piece with net weight 0,740 kg.

This article is part of Homogenisers & dispersers, in Stirring, shaking & mixing.

What is this article?

S 25 EC - T - C - 18 G - ST, Dispersing element, Ø18 mm for T 25 easy clean, tem is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes IKA for laboratory use. It sits in Homogenisers & dispersers, inside Stirring, shaking & mixing, in Lab instruments.

A homogeniser or disperser uses a rotor inside a stator to tear a sample and disperse it. Tip diameter and speed decide the particle size. A generator for 2 mL and a generator for 1 L are different tools on, sometimes, the same drive.

Stirring keeps a mixture uniform or helps a solid dissolve. A magnetic stirrer spins a bar inside a closed vessel. An overhead stirrer drives a shaft when the liquid is viscous or the volume is large. A vortex mixer agitates a tube. A shaker moves a whole rack or a plate. The shape of the impeller and the speed decide whether the liquid turns over or merely spins. The vessels being stirred are indexed under ISO laboratory glassware.
