Description
S 25 KD - 18 G dispersing tool with an 18 mm diameter is a precision probe for IKA T 25 digital and T 25 easy clean digital/control dispersers. Bearing arrangement and seal type combine a ball bearing with PTFE sealing and an FFKM O-ring. Product-contact materials are AISI 316L, PTFE and FFKM, supporting solvent-compatible applications. The tool is vacuum-suitable and can be sterilised by all methods except the ball bearing. Maximum working temperature is 150 °C. Immersion length is 194 mm, stator/rotor diameters are 18/12,7 mm and the gap width is 0,3 mm. Recommended immersion depth ranges from 40 to 165 mm, with a working volume of 10 to 1,500 ml. These dimensions suit small- to medium-scale homogenisation, emulsification and particle-size reduction in laboratory workflows. Supplied as a single unit from manufacturer IKA, the S 25 KD - 18 G probe extends the capability of compatible T 25 drives for routine and solvent-based dispersing tasks where chemical resistance and defined geometry are required.
This article is part of Homogenisers & dispersers, in Stirring, shaking & mixing.

Questions about S 25 KD - 18 G, Dispersing element, Ø18 mm
What is this article?
S 25 KD - 18 G, Dispersing element, Ø18 mm is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes IKA for laboratory use. It sits in Homogenisers & dispersers, inside Stirring, shaking & mixing, in Lab instruments.
A homogeniser or disperser uses a rotor inside a stator to tear a sample and disperse it. Tip diameter and speed decide the particle size. A generator for 2 mL and a generator for 1 L are different tools on, sometimes, the same drive.
Stirring keeps a mixture uniform or helps a solid dissolve. A magnetic stirrer spins a bar inside a closed vessel. An overhead stirrer drives a shaft when the liquid is viscous or the volume is large. A vortex mixer agitates a tube. A shaker moves a whole rack or a plate. The shape of the impeller and the speed decide whether the liquid turns over or merely spins. The vessels being stirred are indexed under ISO laboratory glassware.
