Description
Safety Cap II, V2.0, GL45, with stopcock, Type 1 is a specialised screw closure engineered for safe solvent supply to HPLC systems. It combines a stopcock with two PFA fittings for 3,2 mm outer-diameter tubing and an integrated ventilation valve that blocks harmful vapours while protecting the HPLC instrument from contamination. Constructed primarily from polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) and fitted with a GL 45 thread, the cap offers excellent chemical resistance to aggressive organic solvents. The 360° rotatable screw closure can be autoclaved up to 200 °C, giving maximum flexibility during installation and sterilisation. From manufacturer SCAT, these Safety Caps have been continuously refined for more than twenty years and represent a laboratory standard for secure solvent withdrawal from bottles and containers without exposure to hazardous gases or solvent vapours. An air valve with change indicator is included for reliable pressure equalisation. The robust design, clear arrangement of connections and colour-coded capillary ports simplify handling and enhance laboratory safety.

Questions about Safety Cap II, V2.0, GL45, with shut-off, Type 1
What is this article?
Safety Cap II, V2.0, GL45, with shut-off, Type 1 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes SCAT for laboratory use. It sits in Solvent waste caps, safety funnels & canisters, inside Waste disposal, in Lab safety equipment.
A solvent waste cap and a safety funnel close a waste can so vapour does not fill the room, while still letting waste be poured in. The thread has to match the can. A filter and a level indicator are common features. An open beaker of waste solvent is not this article.
Laboratory waste is sorted before it is carried away. A solvent waste can has a cap and often a funnel that limits vapour. A sharps container is rigid and closable. An autoclave bag is for material that will be sterilised before it is ordinary waste. The container has to survive the chemical that goes into it. A bag that dissolves is not a container. Classification of the chemicals is on ECHA. Transport of dangerous goods is the UNECE framework. Workplace practice is EU-OSHA.
Which category should I open next?
